Production methods

According to their different production, the sorts of aluminum profile are divided into the casted aluminum profile and the deformed aluminum profile. The deformed aluminum profile is generally used in buildings, which is processed into the plate, foil and strip by rolling, and the bar, tube and a variety of complex shaped profiles by extrusion. And the Deformed aluminum profile is also categorized further, according to its function and use, into rust-proof aluminum, hard aluminum, super-hard aluminum and special aluminum.

Aluminum scale potential is -1.67 volts, and the chemical nature is very lively so that it is easy to work with the oxygen in the air to form a layer of solid dense oxide film. In the ordinary atmosphere and clean water, the aluminum has good resistance to erosion. But when contact with steel or other metal materials, the aluminum profile will have electrochemical erosion, and in a humid environment, it can also be eroded by reacting with the concrete, cement mortar, lime and other alkaline materials, as well as the wood and soil. Therefore, the aluminum profile requires some appropriate anti-corrosion treatment.

The pure aluminum has a low strength and its use is limited. But adding a small amount of one or several alloying elements, such as magnesium, silicon, manganese, copper, zinc, iron, chromium, titanium, etc., the aluminum alloy obtains different performances. And then through cold processing and heat treatment, the aluminum alloy can be enhanced and hardened with the greatly improved tensile strength.
